Let’s Make Some Noise

In his blog posting Eight Ways to Make Some Noise-Get Everyone Talking, author and speaker Thomas McKee of Volunteer Power offers tips on how to “make noise” about what your organization is doing, which in turn gets the word out about what your volunteers are doing for the organization.

In keeping with National Volunteer Week, we’d like to echo this sentiment. Making noise about your volunteers’ efforts is a great way to show your appreciation. While you’re at it, be sure to not only talk about what your volunteers are doing inside your organization, but what they’re doing outside your organization as well. Announce a promotion, an award, a new job…anything that shows off your awesome volunteers. After all, we all know that the most dedicated volunteers are also masters at juggling…let’s show how much they really do.

So in honor of National Volunteer week, let’ start making some noise!
