Building Better Staff-Volunteer Relationships, One Training at a Time

Kristine Meter and I just wrapped up this year’s staff/volunteer liaison training, and what a whirlwind it’s been. This year’s program included two virtual training sessions (participants chose which day to attend) covering the fundamentals, followed by an in-person session on Wednesday, July 8 (check out the photos below!), where we dug deeper into real-world liaison challenges, best practices, and opportunities for success.

Each time we offer these sessions, we come away with a better understanding of the challenges association staff face and how we can better support their work. Strong staff-volunteer partnerships are essential to organizational success, and it’s encouraging to see the continued commitment to building those relationships.

Thank you to everyone who participated and for your feedback along the way. Your insights help us refine the program and ensure it remains relevant, practical, and valuable. Looking forward to next year!

p.s. a special shout-out to our friends at Higher Logic for supporting and hosting us at your offices on July 8th!
