The Chapter is “Alright”!

The latest from Grammar Girl is a question about using “alright” versus “all right.” Of course, there is no debate among grammar experts and usage guides alike … “alright” is not all right to use.

So why mention this here? Because at the end, Grammar Girl‘s advice is to Stick with “all right” unless you wish to be part of the charge to legitimize “alright.”

Hmmm … interesting thought when applied to new thinking in membership and leadership models. Sure some loyalists will insist on continuing to do things by the standard rules, but isn’t it more fun to think that you could be part of the charge to change those standards? After all, doesn’t “alright” just have a certain enthusiastic ring to it?

From now on, let’s strive to go from just “all right” to “alright!”
