COVID-19 & Your Chapters/Components: Virtual Idea Swap

Here at Mariner we are home to three chapter organizations. All rely on revenue from in-person events. Yikes!

We know we’re not alone. Because of our work with dozens of associations, we’re on many chapter leader discussion groups and a few Facebook groups — and there’s lot of angst. Chapter and components leaders are reaching out to their headquarters contact. How can you help us?

Diana Tucker, CAE, Vice President, Membership & Chapter Relations at NAIOP is responding to her 50+ chapters in a couple of ways. She has a virtual meeting set up for chapter executives to inform them of what steps Corporate will take to support the chapters during these difficult times, including giving them the use of NAIOP’s web streaming platform so they can convert cancelled live events into virtual programs. She has staff members available to talk about best practices and offer expertise on topics like how to handle sponsors when you have to cancel a local event.
