Business Planning Basics for Chapters

Successful associations begin the journey with a well-defined end in mind and a plan that serves as a guide. No matter the size of your organization, get a plan down on paper! Business Plans are a management tool to chart a path and then keep you on the path. The process of developing a business plan is as valuable as the end document. For making chapters the business plan is far more important and valuable than a strategic plan which is often outdated before the ink dries.

We’ve found that chapters who build business plans using the organizational vision and mission and the national association strategic plan as a framework produce better outcomes.
