- The Sentence (Louise Erdrich) … a wickedly funny ghost story centered around a tale of passion, a complex marriage, and one woman’s relentless errors.
- The Personal Librarian (Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray) … a fictionalized portrait of a remarkable woman known for her intellect and style, and the difficult choices she makes to protect her family, her legacy, and the identity she has carefully constructed in a racist society.

- All the Colors of the Dark (Chris Whitaker) … a missing person mystery, a serial killer thriller, and a love story all rolled into one—with a unique twist on each.
- The Vanishing Half (Brit Bennett) … a deeply moving family story that explores the search for identity based on race and gender, and how this search ultimately shapes what we dare to dream and who we eventually become.
