How can I be useful, of what service can I be? There is something inside me, what can it be? Unknown
People want to volunteer. We know this. Sometimes, they just don’t know where they fit into an association or organization.
The question for associations is whether we are doing enough to help volunteers find a place within the organization where they will thrive and be successful.
In other words, when they ask “Where do I fit into this association and how can I best serve?” do we help them answer that question honestly? Or do we delegate, telling them where to serve based on our needs rather than their interests.
